Livia Alexandra DINU received her PhD degree in Biochemistry in 2012, from the Faculty of Applied Chemistry and Material Science from the University Politehnica of Bucharest and in 2015 was visiting researcher at Ruhr University, in Bochum, Germany.

In 2016 she was awarded by American Chemical Society with “Constantin Luca” medal for the best young analytical chemist for excellence in research. From 2018-2022 she coordinated a national grant focused on developing electrochemical sensing systems using carbon-based nanomaterials; and from 2023-2026 she is theme-responsible for sub-projects of the core programme in IMT-Bucharest. She was also involved as key expert in many national projects, and international projects.

Livia Alexandra Dinu is first degree researcher at the National Institute for Research and Development for Microtechnologies IMT-Bucharest. Her research areas cover electroanalysis, development of sensors and biosensors, carbon-based nanomaterials, electrosynthesis of nanoparticles, nanozymes, functionalization methods for microfabricated and screen-printed devices, wet-etching method extended towards the integration of carbon-based nanomaterials with microfabricated devices for various applications. Her important results were disseminated in more than 45 papers in prestigious journals, a book-chapter and in presentations at international conferences.
