Dr. habil. Ioan Botiz was a Marie Curie fellow at the French National Centre for Scientific Research and received, in 2007, his PhD in polymer physics from the Haute Alsace University (France). He then moved to Center for Nanoscale Materials at Argonne National Laboratory (USA) and focused on structuring of photovoltaic active layers and fabrication of organic energy devices. Botiz returned to Europe as a FRIAS excellence postdoctoral fellow at the University of Freiburg (Germany) where he was working to understand the processing-structure-property relationships in conjugated polymers. Since 2014 he is working at Babes-Bolyai University (Romania) where he is Lecturer within the Department of Physics of Condensed Matter and Advanced Technologies at the Faculty of Physics and holds the position of Scientific Researcher I within the Interdisciplinary Research Institute on Bio-Nano-Sciences. He was also a Research Associate at Imperial College London (2014-2019).
